The Emery County Public Land Management Act of 2018 (H.R.5727/S.2809) provides balanced protections for public lands and waters in Emery County, Utah, an area that is bordered by the Manti-La Sal National Forest, Capitol Reef National Park, and Moab. This bill would designate nearly 530,000 acres of Wilderness, more than 336,000 acres of National Conservation Area, and would provide Wild and Scenic protection for 63 miles of the Green River. These areas provide superlative outdoor recreation opportunities.
