In August, the Senate Energy and Natural Resources subcommittee on Public Lands, Forests, and Mining held hearings on a number of bills that would protect public lands and waters. Specifically, we shared our insight on four possible land protection bills:
S. 483, Wild Olympics Wilderness and Wild and Scenic Rivers Act
S. 1959, Central Coast Heritage Protection Act
S. 2809, Emery County Public Land Management Act
S. 2721, San Juan Mountains Wilderness Act
We are hopeful that by the end of the year or sooner, a package of recreation bills, including those heard in August, could get across the finish line. Click on the letter at right to read our full testimony on the hearings.
